General Guidance:

Stick to salads, fresh vegetables and healthy nuts and oils. Try to consume plenty of raw foods and at least 2-3 litres of clean, pure water daily.

General Guidance:

Steer clear of fatty meats, dairy, cheese, sweets, chocolates, alcohol and tobacco. Packaged foods are often full of hidden offenders and microwaved meals are full of sugars and salts. Over cooking also removes all of the nutrition from a meal!

Lemon Water - Alkalising Superstar

I saw a documentary on TV last week, saying that an acid body is a magnet for sickness & disease, especially for cancer and aging. It's proof in Japan & Korea that patients who suffer from cancer are all with acidic body.

Eating more alkaline foods helps shift your body's pH and oxygenate your system. Alkaline foods keep your body healthy and functioning correctly, preventing cancer.

During late 1940's Japanese scientists found that electrically ionized alkaline water can help to improve Gastric Hyperacidity and other primarily digestive conditions. Instead of paying a lot of money purchasing expnsive ionized alkaline water machine, we can simply drink lemon water, which can easily provide the same effect. Although lemon taste sour, it actually have an alkalizing effect in your body. The beauty of lemon water is that it is tasty, refreshing and best of all, alkalising. The lemon juice raises the alkalinity of the water so even with standard tap water you can make your drink pH neutral.

pH Balance:
The pH scale is from 0 to 14, with numbers below 7 acidic (low on oxygen) and numbers above 7 alkaline. The blood, lymph and cerebral spinal fluid in the human body are designed to be slightly alkaline at a pH of 7.4. At a pH slightly above 7.4 cancer cells become dormant and at pH 8.5 cancer cells will die while healthy cells will live. A balanced diet helps to maintain the pH balance of the blood.

Meat - Fish - Eggs we ate everyday are strongly acidic food.

So What Are the Benefits of Drinking Lemon Water?

Apart from being an amazing body alkalizer/alkaliser, lemon water also gives the following health benefits:

  • Lemons are antiseptic
  • Lemon water has excellent digestive properties and can ease heartburn, bloating and other digestion problems
  • Lemon water cleanses and stimulates the liver and kidneys
  • Lemon juice contains calcium, magnesium and potassium
  • Lemon juice has been known to relieve asthma
  • Lemon juice is a great skin cleanser
  • Lemon offers relief from cold and flu symptoms while providing some much needed Vitamin C
  • Chinese people put lemon & ginger in boiled coke when they have cold and flu symptoms, it sooth the body well.

So if you do not do anything else - start every single day with a glass of lovely lemon water! I put 2 slices of lemon into room temperature drinking water everyday now :)

* DO NOT ADD SYRUP / SUGAR - lemon with sugar / sweet will become acidic.

** WASH the lemons throughly before soaking it into water, to prevent excess pesticides and chemicals, unless you are sure that your lemons are 100% organic.
